On September 18, Vox Classics released Inbal Segev: Bach Cello Suites in the U.S. (worldwide release, November 6). Segev recorded the album over a period of six months at New York City's Academy of Arts and Letters, working with Grammy-winning producer Da-Hong Seetoo and using a successful PledgeMusic campaign to fund the album's post production. In the album's first review, The New York Times called Segev's performance "deft and thoughtful, accurate in pitch and flexible in rhythm."
Inbal Segev: Bach Cello Suites is available at retailers nation-wide and on Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify.
Segev's 2015-16 season started on September 25 with a performance of Suites Nos. 1, 3, and 5 at the Bargemusic Masterworks Series in Brooklyn, NY. On October 30 she will perform Suites Nos. 2, 4, and 6.
In addition to the album, Nick Davis Productions has produced an accompanying documentary film of Segev’s journey recording the work, following her through the process. The trailer for the documentary can be viewed here. A screening of the film will take place October 15 at The Core Club in New York City.
