Cellist Inbal Segev and classical guitarist Jason Vieaux join forces in their duo debut at the iconic Bargemusic venue in Brooklyn on December 18 at 8pm. Inbal and Jason have programed a vibrant selection of music by Spanish, Brazilian, and Argentinian composers, including a world premiere arrangement of Pagina de Buenos Aires for cello and guitar by Argentinian composer Fernando Otero.
Tickets are available here.
Pagina de Buenos Aires or “A Page of Buenos Aires” is part of the Tango Nueva tradition, a form of music in which new elements are incorporated into traditional tango music, and was originally written for piano, violin, cello, bass and bandoneon. Watch a performance of Fernando Otero's original arrangement below.
After Bargemusic, the duo will head to the Cartagena International Music Festival in Columbia, where they will perform two concerts and conduct a series of masterclasses from January 10-15, 2016.
