Jupiter String Quartet joins Jensen Artists roster for management & PR

We are delighted to announce Jupiter String Quartet is joining the Jensen Artists roster for management and PR.

The Jupiter String Quartet is a particularly intimate group, consisting of violinists Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel (Meg's older sister), and cellist Daniel McDonough (Meg's husband, Liz's brother-in-law). Now enjoying their sixteenth year together, this tightly knit ensemble is firmly established as an important voice in the world of chamber music. In addition to their performing career, they have been Artists-in-Residence at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana since 2012, where they maintain private studios and direct the chamber music program.

This summer, Jupiter performs at the Aspen Music Festival & School (June 28), Madeline Island Music Festival (July 6 and July 7), Bowdoin International Music Festival (July 23 and July 30), Maverick Concerts (August 5), and Skaneateles Music Festival (August 30 and August 31). Jupiter's programs for the summer include the world premiere of a new string quartet which they commissioned from Kati Agócs, as well as works by Beethoven, Debussy, Schumann, Strauss, Sydney Hodkinson, Pierre Jalbert, and Andy Akiho.

The quartet can be heard in numerous recordings on labels including Azica Records, Marquis Classics, and Deutsche Grammophon. Their next release is a recording of contemporary works with piano alongside Australian pianist Bernadette Harvey to be released on Marquis Records in 2019.
